It defaults to four days. How many days have you got it configured for?

Acid, in this case I think the problem may have related to the ampersand in the file name.

Not that I'm aware of. I've been reading all the posts, and there hasnt really indications of problems with this.

I would have been surprised if there were new live tv issues. There hasnt been any changes in that area of the application for the v0.94 releases. So far this is actually looking like a very good release.

Did I list this as something I fixed? no...

Well nothing's changed on my end except the version Wink

And I know it's not on your 'fixed list' but I know sometimes you fix bugs and don't list them as fixed...sooooooooooooo.......

Anyway the problem with livetv seems worse when changing channels frequently, if that helps.

tipstir....this was at rest....no recording on either card and GBPVR GUI not running nor an MVP connection.

Still looking into this....

However, I have been able to reproduce it....it occurs when there is a weird disconnect via the MVP.

There have been serveral times that I have selected to watch a video via the MVP (using Video Archiver) and end up getting a black screen. I have to turn the MVP on/off (not a full power off) to try to get back to the MVP interface....I am then unable to reconnect and GBPVR takes off with CPU and mass memory usage.

If I power off the MVP again and back on Memory on the GBPVR service jumps again.

I am going to try removing all plugins and go back to just what ships with GBPVR and then add things in one at a time.

I will keep you posted....if you have any thoughts in the meantime let me know.

Yes, I did. I sent about one minutes after I suggested doing this. The mail didnt bounce, or at least I havnt recieved any notification of transmission problems.

I'll send it again now.

UJB/Tipstir

I am seeing the same black screen as well when using xrecord including the just released version. It's happening quite often and when it does there is a message regarding a connection being closed in the log. I'll try and post the snippet of log later.

I am a Newbee with GB-PVR. I been using the it since v93, I current installed the 17SEP05 v94 and have a lag or live-TV skipping on my MVP. I don't recall seeing before this ver. I have a XP box (see spec below) serving the MVP. I was able to reproduce the blank screen by switching channels back about 4 times and waiting 1 minute. I'm not sure if this is a Happauge problem or GP-PVR. Once it starts it will continue unil I exit to the main menu and start Live TV again.

I hope this helps Sub. I would like to thank you for this program I have been using as a video server for the house and plan to add seral MVP to the system in the furture. I don't think it is the network it all sits on a 1GB LAN
