Hello,
I am having a problem adding one specific channel (and its subchannels). The channel is scanning correctly, however, NextPVR is refusing to add that channel with the correct frequency. Here is what is happening:

Channel 5 has a low-power channel on freq: 30 that is about 40 miles from me. I cannot reliably pick up this frequency, but it does show up in the scan. Channel 5 is also rebroadcast in my local area on freq: 25 (which I pick up very well). As you can see from the photos, I select the channel on freq: 25, but it adds the channel on freq: 30 to my lineup, instead.

I have tried deleting all channel 5 subchannels, rebooting, and then only adding the channel 5 on freq: 25...but the freq: 30 ones are added, instead.
I have also tried adding all 8 channels: four with freq: 25 and four with freq: 30 (as shown in the photo), but only the four with freq: 30 get added (also, as shown in the photo).

I believe this is probably a bug in the way the selected channels are looked up and added to the database (maybe NextPVR is using the station call signs?).

I was originally using NextPVR v5.0 when I saw this problem...so I upgraded to v5.1, but the problem is still there.

Is there a workaround for this so I can get channels 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, and 5.4 all added to my lineup with freq: 25?

Are you running the current version? I know I identified this issue with another user but I can't remember if sub issued a patch or not.

I'm running v5.1.0.201216
I'm pretty sure it's the current version (just updated from v5.0 this morning).

Can you try a scan, then post the logs?

From memory there was something about sorting the channel results at the end of a channel scan that could lead to this, but I thought it was resolved. (others had indicated it was fixed for them)

OK. This is what I did:
- I scanned a tuner for frequencies
- Then, I only selected the four channel 5 channels (5.1, 5.2, 5.3, and 5.4) with freq: 25
- After clicking "Save", I have 8 channel 5 channels in my lineup (all 8 with freq: 30)
Attached are the log files that were updated during the above.

I can see what's happening. I'll have to have a think about the best way to solve it.

Here is the original thread that I was thinking about https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?tid=61635 This seems to be the same.

Found a workaround to this problem:
I disconnected my rooftop antenna and connected a much lower-quality indoor antenna. I figured that scanning for channels with a poorer antenna might only find the local freq: 25 channels. It worked!
After the scan, only 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, and 5.4 with freq: 25 were listed. I selected those four channels and clicked "Save". As a result, the channels were added to my lineup with freq: 25.

Of course, this is NOT a "fix". The problem with the software adding the wrong channels when both freq:25 and freq:30 channels were both found during the scan still needs to be corrected. However, this workaround allowed me to have the proper channels in my lineup (until I need to rescan).

FYI, I have fixed this for the next build.
