IPTV XC EPG Info

I was able to import my channels via the IPTV XC option.  However, there is no EPG data - isn't that data available via that server/port?  If so, how do we get it to show up in the guide?  If its not available, what are my options, SchedulesDirect?  Looking for the easiest and most dynamic option, so when my provider changes things I'll have minimal changes or configs to update.  Thank you!

Usually you would also get epg data when you import from XC, if your provider has it available.

Importing from m3u is better if it’s available from your provider. Much more flexible. The XC stuff is only there as a fallback for those that don’t support m3u.

I found a solution along with some explanation. XC (Xtream) is just a server:port (webpage service) API that downloads M3u files/list along with the epg data. They really are the same thing as direct m3u URLs just a different way the server gets the info. The M3u info contains a tvg-id, that maps to the XMLTV info from your m3u xml epg data to show guide data. You don't need to do anything to set this up, just provide either the XC info in option 1 below, OR the M3u & M3u EPG links in the 2nd option, update the EPG (NextPVR Settings->About->Update EPG), and it will automatically show up in the guide.

Steps: (These essentially are and do the same thing)
-XC (Option 1)
-Import using XC-> Eg. http://host:port xxx xxx
-(Optional) Filter by channel group->Select groups-> Save
-M3U w/Xtream info (Option 2) (If you have a direct M3u link instead of Xtream info, just use that instead of below URLs)
-Import using M3U->Specify these 2 links->Import
-M3u+ Link: http://url:port/get.php?username=xxxx&password=xxxx&type=m3u_plus&output=ts
-EPG Link: http://url:port/xmltv.php?username=xxxx&password=xxxx
-(Optional) Filter by Channel Group->Select groups-> (Ignore channel list)-> Save

Yes, that is all correct. You can usually work out the m3u with the XC login, and you're better off going down that path if you can (instead of importing directly from an XC login). m3u is more functional for updating the channels at a later date. With xc is not so straight forward (basically delete your channels and reimport)

Note: My IPTV provider just dropped m3u support as I was able to add the XC info and everything worked great, only issue is if you remove a group the channels stick so I have to manually delete those channels unless I missed a step.?

Update

Leave groups in place then delete all channels under each group you don't want to keep then delete that group, it seems I was doing this backward. 

Now have an issue with my production system as it does not have the button to add a IPTV device, it has one IPTV device using m3u file, my test system does as it was a clean install as my production was an upgrade from v4 to v5, any idea how to get the add button back?  I've scan over all config, js and html file with not luck finding where this is missing between my test and prod system.

I found the issue as the DB came from v4 it only had one IPTV row in the DB so I use SQLite and added another IPTV row and I have a IPTV on the Web Page to add my XC info now. 

Quick History in case others move from v4 to v5:  Before I rebuilt my system all updates I had to manually install for v5 as I started with the beta version (Win7 Pro), no big deal since I was running both v4 and v5. Once my hard drive failed and I built a new Win 10 Pro but stilled used the DB that I had backed up. I assume along the way this row was never added to the DB as v4 only had one row.
