I can see it got as far as successfully reading the m3u file. I can't tell what happened after that. You'd probably need to supply me a complete logs. It looks like it would definitely get one of two messages which are missing from the snippet you've supplied, so I can't really tell the path it went down.

The full nrecord log is available in the google drive from start to shutdown during my testing of file based IPTV device setup.

Do you remember if you had file:// for the xmltv url in that attempt? It has to start with that for a local file.

Given this is on Linux, it'll start with three slashes:

file:///some/path/test.xml

I put the m3u in as a file "/hdd/nextpvr/iptv/pluto.m3u" and the EPG XML as a url "file:///hdd/nextpvr/share/iptv/pluto.xml"
