Can't update M3U

I can update the EPG just fine but not the M3U playlist. Get the error below. Suggestions?

Were these channels originally from 'import from XC'? Looks like it, in which case you can't use 'update m3u' to pull in channel updates. That only works when you've originally imported from an m3u.

I believe it is an XC import. Certainly is the case going forward as the source no longer supports M3U, only XC. So is there no method to update an XC playlist without breaking things? Every since I've used this software, couple years now, I have to blow out the npvr.db3 file, to restore default, then import XC playlist and go through removing all unwanted groups. Then have to rebuild scheduled recordings on some or it won't record. A PITA to have to do every month. Is there a better way?

At this stage m3u is the better option if it's available to you. I will likely add an equivalent 'update xc channels' button in the next few months, but it's not there today.

Hey Sub, I'm not finding an 'update xc channels' button in the latest v5.1.2.210603 release. Does it take a hotkey or some method that isn't readily apparent? Regards, Mark

There is no 'update xc' function at this stage. I will probably add it in a future release, but its not there at this stage.

There is an 'update m3u', so it's preferable to use m3u sources for your IPTV.

My source doesn't offer an M3U since this post. I've been patiently awaiting for this release to access newly added channels. I'll have to do a destructive playlist update and recreate all my recordings from scratch. Thanks sub for your quick response.

I understand its only been a couple months not a few. Thought it was one of the simpler fixes in the context of things so I was hopeful.
