Hi,

Let me use this opportunity the appreciate developers supporting NextPVR application. You guys are amezing!  I am noticing one big issue when recording VOD streams from my IPTV provider.  Regardless of the settings on the "Manual Record" window in NextPVR server browser page, the movies are always incomplete.  I am running NextPVR server version 5.1.4.2 on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS server.  I've always used movie time from IMDB.com to adjust the length of the recording, but each recording is between ten to fifteen minutes short.  Please how can I resolve this issue as this is preventing me from building my local movie library for later viewing.

Thanks!

Just to confirm you're using it the way it was intended, are you going to the VOD page in the webapp, and clicking the 'download' button on the top-right of cover artwork?

Where are you seeing this time? I think NextPVR is supposed to use mediaInfo to get the duration and then calculates the start time backwards from there.

If you use this command line does this match NextPVR's duration.

mediainfo filename | grep Duration

This is how my IPTV "Movies" URL dispays on the webapp.  When you click on the current time box or future time box, a window pop's up with manual recording.  Please see screenshots that I uploaded.

You're never going to get a recording that matches when you do that.

I'm trying to work out why you have these in your guide, instead of in a separate VOD page. Do you have the <ImportVOD> setting in your config.xml? You shouldn't. You may have added it, after reading about it in previous posts?

Actually, I was referring to the setting on the "Manual Recording" window.  You can also get the manual recording window from the guide.

That’s not the way to do it. It’ll never work correctly that way. See my posts above. You should be using the VOD page, and the download option.

Your menu bar should have a VOD option after scheduler. Are you running the current version of NextPVR?

I believe that I'm runing the latest version of the application (please see attached screenshot).  Let me provide some context to this issue. My IPTV provider have m3u URL for movies, TV Shows, Sports, and Live TV.  Besides the Live TV URL, I would consider other URLS (VOD) because you I can view previous years arings from them.  The guide i posted earlier was from the movies URL.  I don't know how else to explain it.  BTW, I do not have <importVOD> tag in my config file, My NextPVR server installation is vanilla without any customization.

Did your re-import your m3u file after the version upgrade? https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...#pid558991

If so you likely will need to PM sub information on your file.
