By saying "It wasn't working my test Windows PC", did you mean that the problem doesn't exist on Windows--only linux? I think that is what you meant, but want to be sure. Big Grin

I am saying I did get the error downloading message, but not the second lock error after 30 seconds. It still might be creating an empty catalog file (that is what I see anyway) and not getting SD art.

I suggest checking logs to see if you are getting art from SD or not. You can also check the database for SD_ARTWORK to see if the URL looks like text or and hashed image name.

Thanks for looking into to this for us.

I can confirm that my SD_Artwork table contains 95000+ entries and most (but I haven't checked them all [Image: smile.png] ) contain a url like:

https://schedulesdirect-api20141201.s3.u..._v5_aa.jpg

I cleared the SD_Artwork table a few months ago in relation to another issue that was locking the database so these have built up pretty quickly.

I have disabled the SD Artwork settings under the 'General' section in Settings and I am happy to give that a try for a while to see if it helps resolve this problem. Should I clear this table now as well or do you think it is the actual download process which is causing the problem ?

If you update the EPG it seems to be working now, I probably just didn't delete the catalog file.

I can also duplicate it in Windows, but it erroneously makes an empty catalog file instead of going to other art choices.

I have unticked SD Artwork in Settings/General and I deleted the Blue Thunder scheduled recording and deleted the 'Blue Thunder-catalog.xml' from  /var/opt/nextpvr/media/shows. I deleted all (95000+) rows from the SD_Artwork, stopped (before making any DB changes) and restarted the server and then updated the EPG. I then rescheduled Blue Thunder (which it did first time with no problems).  I have subsequently repeated the deleting and recording of Blue Thunder a few times and had no problems with this. I did also get the artwork for this film where previously I didn't.

I then checked the logs (attached) and found that although the SD Artwork was not enabled it appeared to be trying to get it but generated this error:

I also found that the SD_Artwork table now contained 9288 rows so something isn't quite right here.  I am not sure if it used any of the other Artwork Sources  (I have them all, except SD Artwork, ticked) but I can't find any evidence of this from the logs - maybe you have a better idea as to what to look for ?

It will always generate the SD_ARTWORK for you (now with the hashed filename)

That error is likely related to deleting the table (perhaps still flushing)

I've checked the SD artwork code, and fixed a couple of possible options for this.

Still failing here. The logic is funny it doesn't continue to get art from tvmaze after the failure.

It's not clear what that log snippet is showing, but it doesn't seem to be around the database locking changes I made.

Are you still getting database lock errors?
