Just installed!

Good afternoon!

I finished installing NextPVR (in ubuntu) and was able to scan in a bunch of channels. But when I try to watch any channels (via the same firefox that's configuring things) I get the error:

Streaming Failed: Transcoder Exited

In line 54 of my device-adapter0.log, I see an error at the same time:

2021-09-21 13:19:23:969 [ERROR] Failed to get tuning params for (KING-HD) from /var/opt/nextpvr/adapter0-ATSC-channels.conf

The adapter1.log is mostly empty.

I'm not sure where to start with figuring out what that means. I noticed first that the referenced file didn't even exist! But an "adapter1..." file did exist, and it shows an entry for the channel:

All I could think of doing was copying the adapter1 file and naming it adapter0, but that didn't change anything. I'm feeling like those monkeys at the beginning of 2001 Space Odyssey.

You did not attach anything. You need to go into the Settings screen and use the button to get the log file .zip. Then attach that to you post. Do not try to cut sections of the log files or post only partial log file .zips.

Sounds like you should have copied 0 to 1.  I suggest scanning both and merging afterwards if copying doesn't work

Okay, I uploaded the zip. I'm trying a rescan of both now. I'll come back and say whether anything changes.

From the logs it looks like you actually are trying to scan ATSC and QAM on the same device. That won't work and will screw up the drivers requiring a restart of the service. You can't have both types.

Darn... Well, I tried removing all the channels and rescanning both of the ATSC devices. I'm not sure how to remove any QAM stuff. It's listed as a device but doesn't have any channels associated to it.

And the log seems to be giving me a different error, but the gui is till saying the same.

I tried several channels, just in case there was just something strange happening with my NBC affiliate.

But it didn't seem to make a difference.
