It would be great if I could merge channels with dis-similar blaster options in the guide and m3u output. Thanks.

It already does that. When you merge a couple of channels, they effectively become two sources of the same channel, but each retains their own tuning information. For example, you might merge three channels, one might be DVB-S, one might be DVB-T and another might be HDPVR with blaster. When it choses one of those sources, it still uses whatever tuning is required for that source.

If he wants to provide copies of his pre and post merged npvr.db3 files, I can check it out. As far as I know, there is no issues with merging channels with different blaster configuration. They should each end up retaining whatever blaster setup they had.
