Twice just recently my C: became full because the video that is normally recording to F: spontaneously instead decided to go to the default c:\users\public\videos
This is without any notices.
Also I have comskip installed and normally do manual skips. It has also spontaneously changed to auto-skipping.
Where do I start with this?

This has happened again, so that's 3 times in total.
It seems to be reverting to defaults or something like that. Is there any way to stop this?
I would rather get a fatal error than auto-revert to defaults.
Ant idea where to start?

I have made the default folder Users/public/videos read-only but that didnt stop it.

I have made Config.xml read-only, will see if that works.

The recording directory can revert to the default location if the specified recording directory doesn't exist. Maybe F: is some network drive that isn't always available, or some USB drive that you sometimes disconnect?

It was a local drive. I don't know why it seemed to temporarily disappear.
Would be good though if the change to the default location reverted back to the specified directory when it becomes available again.

Assuming you aren't using USB, what are drive D & E? Maybe they disappear and you need to force assign F via Windows Disk Management or the CLI.

The HDD has long been set manually to f:
I don't know why it temporarily disappeared.
Perhaps some windows bug from not being rebooted for a long time.
