Update EPG Not working properly with XLMTV

But with v5 when Update EPG runs it calls the update batch file in scripts which in turns starts XmltvConsole.exe.
When this runs it finishes after grabbing about a third of the channel data and then writes an .xml file of about 14,000 Kb.
If I run the XmltvConsole.exe manually or run the update.bat manually it grabs all the channel data and returns an .xml file of about 58,000 Kb.
I cannot find out why this happens unless there is some kind of timeout in v5.

There is no timeout. It doesn't kill it if it's taking too long. It waits for as long as the script takes to run. I can see it eventually completes, then it proceeds to the next step of processing the file:

Sorry can't run v4 updateepg.bat I uninstalled it when I decided to stay with v5..
But version 5 is only a copy of the same thing pointing to another folder.

Something is different since you can't get good results with the batch file even running under a user account. I have nothing more to suggest sorry.

If an attachment is > 2MB you need to use external links.

One zipped .xml file is 2.1 MB the other is 8 MB

Using your Windows One Drive is probably the easiest way.

As Martin mentions above, you'll need to put bigger files on a file sharing service and let me know where to download. ie, Onedrive, or Google Drive, dropbox etc.

When we've seen a difference like this when the user manually runs UpdateEPG.bat vs when NextPVR runs it, everytime it's come down to something the user has not understood about the utilities they're running in the batch file and the differences when run from a service. ie, you might find it's got a different default directory, or you might find when it runs from the service (as the 'localsystem' account rather than your account) the utility might not manage to find some config files that are stored under your account.

Maybe in the distant past you set the v4 service to run as your account rather than the default localsystem account?

Sub, in this case when he ran PostProcessing.bat as a user he also got the small file. The difference is running the batch file vs the console. I suspect the difference is the change to G: in his batch file but I have no way to confirm it or where xmltvconsole.exe gets it config information.
