Desktop App Red X

I am getting a failure when opening the desktop app after the latest update. THe window opens and it's just a white box with a red x across the screen. 

Maybe a .NET issue? Any suggestions about this error are appreciated.

A couple of questions

- in config.xml what do you have in <PreferredMenuStyle2></PreferredMenuStyle2> ?
- if you add the -nogl command line parameter does it start?

Sorry for the delay, I forgot to get email updates. When I do this error message pops up

Your posts are confusing, that is a NextPVRServer.exe message not a message from NextPVR.exe. When you wrote "When I do this " what do you mean.

I also wasn't clear when I posted about adding -nogl That would be to the NextPVR.exe shortcut.

Sorry, I am trying to do too many things at once.

That message that I posted was in the red when I ran -nogl. The red x still appears. Thats the first issue.

Ok, I wast suggesting you might be adding -nogl to wrong exe if you are seeing that text.

I have NextPVRServer.exe -nogl which is what I ran and NextPVRService. I do not have a NextPVR.exe.

When I run the NextPVRServer.exe -nogl I receive that error message in red and Windows terminates the program.

Yes you don't want to do that. There is a NextPVR.exe in the client sub folder of NextPVR.

nogl works and I see the menu. If I try to watch a channel it reverts back to the red ex with an unhandled exception
