Export M3U playlist

I'm using the following command to export a m3u playlist on v5 (I got the link suggestion from an earlier post on this topic)

 http://192.168.x.x:8866/service?method=channel.m3u

but instead of getting a downloaded file, another webpage opens with an error message "This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it"

Any suggestions, please?

The suggestion is to not consider this a viewable HTML page or a downloadable file and look at the source.

I'm afraid I don't understand your reply. Can you guide me on how I can get the m3u playlist?

You are trying to open a file in the browser that is not a web page. Use the option in your browser to view source. You also have to turn off security as you probably saw in another thread.

Or from the command line just use

curl http://ip:8866/service?method=channel.m3u -O
