That is expected great. Since it is scheduling an EPG item it would have to show EPG times same as if you created it via the guide

Hi Martin, I heard back from Titan today and they are willing to post a link to the NexTTVPI utility provided that we remove the point about the annoying pop-up advertising video. Understandable since it helps finance their site. They were especially critical of my point about how to circumvent it :-)
Under the "Titan TV Drawbacks" section, we need to delete the following bullet point: "Some advertising on the Titan page with an annoying auto start video that can be disabled if you hunt around for the appropriate browser extension. The same video plays from the start every time you refresh a page or go to a new page. Not sure what they were thinking when they designed that part, but it forced me to find an autoplay stopper for my browser." Once its, deleted, I'll let them know and then they will post a link to the NextTVPI util. Thanks, Dave

I am waiting for @FM5 to confirm things are good and the some one will need to document the change and I will update the wiki.

Looks great here same as my last couple posts. After the original testing on a few different channels, I've been recording a lot of Olympics with it on one channel, and that's been 2 or 3 different times every day.
And it's still putting those recordings into one folder named Beijing 2022 Olympics, and the recordings in that folder have titles that start with that, so being able to see the program name is a nice bonus. Sure beats setting a manual channel/time/day/duration for every recording. Without this, I probably would have manually set NextPVR to record one big recurring 14-hour recording every day for the Olympics even though 3 to 7 of those hours aren't Olympics. Minor thing: I'm still testing editing a scheduled recording from TitanTV to turn it into a daily or weekly recording. If that works, it means getting the title of the recurring show in the recording name instead of just the channel name and date for a title like happens with a typical manual recording. My first tests on that are defective since I ran out of hard drive space for them from recording so much Olympics. And then the weekend with different shows happened. So I'm starting fresh with that and have a couple test shows scheduled starting Monday for daily recordings. They show up as upcoming recurring scheduled recordings, and there's 5 or 6 upcoming pending recordings of them, and the date to be recorded is different for each, so would think they'd work, but have to test it. Interesting that only the first pending recording shows an episode summary. The rest of the pending daily recordings only show the title. That's good. More evidence that the later recordings won't somehow overwrite the first one. We'll see after a few days.

Would you be able to please send a me a copy of the current wiki md doc ? My version doesn't include the link to the utility or any other updates you may have made since I sent the original. If I can get a copy of the current doc, then I'll gladly update it (and fix a couple of spelling errors). I tried to download from the wiki but could only get an html version not in md format. Thanks.

GitHub does not make it easy as it should but here you go https://raw.githubusercontent.com/wiki/s...extTVPI.md

Thanks. Doc is updated and attached, including several spelling corrections. Please note that I have changed the filename and top heading inside the file based on one of FM5's suggestions. I also upate the version number from 4 to 6 but assume it might soon be 8 :-). Thanks again. Love this utility !
NOTE: I wasn't sure if matching rules change in version 8 so I've made no upates to that area of the doc.

I didn't upload it because I didn't see the new feature to record with no guide data in NextPVR. I believe you show this only as a future enhancement but it is there now.
I will remove the future enhancements though and link to the forum. This doesn't belong on a wiki. I definitely won't be supporting TVVI file, launching a Live TV player from Titan TV makes no sense in a world where NextPVR has so many different clients. Martin
Does that mean show title matching is no longer part of the matching criteria or is it only if there is no EPG entry in NextPVR that show title is ignored ? A brief summary of the new matching rules would be good as I don't have the code to look at. Thanks, Dave. Agree with removing the future enhancements section, will remove in the next iteration I attach.

It is a new mode explained here https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...#pid568284 There is a slight nuance it that if OTA or other data comes it would have to match on title for NextPVR to record it.
You should be able to test it by deleting data for one channel in npvr.db3 using a sqlite3 tool, scheduling it to see it and then running a EPG update to see what happens on the update. Martin |
