breakthrough. In kodi, if i set streaming options to transcoded it works but only in kodi

i tried to select this option in nextpvr web interface, but the next pvr client still wont play.

so Kodi appears to be sorted

That;s not really a breakthrough, the transcoded option uses the same server-based transcoding that the web browser uses. It doesn't fix anything.

I can't see an obvious problem in those couple of debug logs. BTW, you'll need to make you remove those registry settings while not collecting logs. They'll quickly fill your hard disk.

If you're able to capture a 1 minute full transport stream from the frequency with BBC Two, I could try it here with my signal generator to see if I can reproduce the issue.

Ive captured x2 40 secs as thats all it produces. It splits in to many files when watching live tv

I'd need 'full transport stream' which are different than what you'll get from NextPVR. You can use the evaluation version of tscapture from https://tscapture.com.

I think it’s the card! (WinTV-NOVA-HD-S2)

The only app it works on is the next PVR web interface.

I’ve tried this on DVB viewer, trans-edit and even Hauppauge’s own WinTV. All of these clients give me the same fault. The counter is running, and it creates a perfectly watchable video using VLC. However, it will not render the video in the application itself when streaming. The signal strength and quality is showing as 94%.

I am beginning to think that the card and drivers under Windows 10 just don’t function very well (https://www.hauppauge.co.uk/site/support...ml?prod=34).

I would love to be proven wrong, as I really wanted this to work and do not fancy spending over £100 on a card when a stand-alone box will probably cost me less.

If anybody has any further suggestions, please jump in.

just to close this thread, the issue was fixed by uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling
