Client-server setup. NextPVR client v19.04 on Kodi has worked faultlessly for months. no hardware or network changes & both client & server always on. Suddenly, the Kodi client refuses connect. Rebooted both machines, both running W10. Uninstalled & reinstalled the NextPVR client but still won't enable. Pinged the machines ok. Cleared the client data in Kodi. Still won't enable. NPVR log attached but suspect you may need Kodi logs - will grab those if needed.

Yes Kodi debug logs are always needed with Kodi problems. This is a question I wish I didn't have to answer so often.

sorry - it's actually quite confusing unless you deal with it every day. Anyways, Kodi log attached after enabling debug & restarting it.

I know and that's why it is on the wiki. Logs need to be zipped and under 2MB or use the Kodi log uploader and pass the URL also explained on the wiki.

It *is* under 2mb. I *did* read the wiki. I *have* uploaded them here before. It's still confusing, and I've worked in IT support for over 30 years both in a paid and voluntary capacity. Sometimes, perhaps like now, it has to be accepted that (a) there might be a wood vs trees problem and (b) there is no end to how incapable a user may be in any given situation.

Trying to attach it again - I dragged/dropped the first time & it doesn't appear to have gone through. Perhaps I dropped the original instead of the zipped version but it was accepted by the panel at the bottom of the message. I just have to suck it up some days, sorry.

Yes the forum software can be frustrating and why I use the Kodi log uploader. Sorry I was so shortbut I was booting back and forth between Linux and Windows to test that upgrade was ok (it is here).

Did you check to see if the addon is enabled? There was an update to the addon today an it looks like you did get it. I can't even see PVR running. Your version of Kodi is outdated too I wonder if that is an issue with the update process.

Thanks, Martin, and no worries: been there, done that.

When the issue first arose, I disabled the addon and then it would not re-enable. I then uninstalled, downloaded and reinstalled ... and it won't enable. Good point re Kodi, though usually I see a message when it gets out of date. I'll update that now and reprt back.

Upgraded from Kodi 19.0 to 19.4 and all seems to be ok. I definitely had no notice of a Kodi upgrade & in the Kodi settings both the addon and Kodi itself are set to auto-upgrade ... but clearly the Kodi bit hasn't been doing. I am going to have to pay more attention to that in future.

Thanks for the suggestion and sorry for the hassle - honestly thought I'd tried all the obvious pre-report steps but, like I said above, there's no end to how daft a user can be.

I installed Kodi 19.0 just to see if that was an issue but pvr.nextpvr 19.0.4 didn't worked fine. You would have been running 19.0.3 until today, I think the download failed, there have been some improvements in the installation process. The fact that you weren't getting updates either definitely meant something was off. I immediately got the warning to go from 19.0 stable to 19.4 stable.

Glad you worked it out.
