Hello everybody,

My TBS 6220 is regognized as a DVB-T card although the driver lets it work also on DVB-C which I intend to use.
Further on how do I add frequency lists since the ones used here are not choosable ?

Thank you in advance.

I assume this is also you https://rickcaylor.websitetoolbox.com/po...6478?trail= and going by crazycat's comment, you will really need to disable sleep and keep your machine on all the time.

Assuming you are using Windows perhaps you can find a Linux installation that uses less power.

On Windows you need to edit the tuning files in C:\Program Files\NextPVR\data\tuning\DVB-C I am not sure which one but I suspect All Countries - All Frequencies - 6900 - QAM256.ini matches the linked files.

Hello and thanks for your reply.

Yes, it was me there and to be honest I had forgotten about this issue since too much happened since then.
So that must have been the reason why I had taken the TBS 6220 out of service.
And right now after waking up from Standby the card does not show up again in the device manager which is a no go scenario for a PVR.

I wanted to give it a new try but still using the same hardware it doesn't seem to make much sense anymore.
It would have been so nice to have another tuner for EPG based timer recordings from DVB-C.

Is there any easy configurable Linux based solution available for this ?
I would like to boot it from a stick if possible.

And how could editing the tuning files in C:\Program Files\NextPVR\data\tuning\DVB-C help since NextPVR sees the card as DVB-T ?

P.S.: The Edision OPTI-Combo DVB-C/T2 USB stick I am now using for DVB-T2 on a Vu+ Solo² which works mostly well

Sorry sound like you need to research BDA drivers to make sure you have the best drivers for both problems.

For Linux it's PCI so that limits your ability to use it with a stick or low end device. Installing NextPVR on Linux is pretty simple though but you still won't be able to have the PC sleep. That doesn't guarantee drivers will be available or better.

If you can post your logs, we'll see how the device is reporting itself. It sounds like it's drivers are only reporting it as being a DVB-T device.

Sure. Which files do you need ?

P.S.: Sorry I have found them and attached here.

The drivers for this device are only reporting DVB-T and DVB-S. If it supports DVB-C, it's likely via a proprietary, non-standard mechanism.

DVB-S is from another card: Technotrend S2-1600

The latest driver for the TBS 6220, which was initially a DVB-T/T2 card, also supports DVB-C
Thus DVB-C frequencies can be scanned by using Dream DVB but for some unknown reason it crashes with IRQLESSOREQUAL restarting Windows 10 Pro when trying to scan a DVB-T frequency.
On the other hand in Crazyscan2 both DVB-C and DVB-T2 is working.

Anyway it seems that the TBS 6220 is a very "special" device and so I should not spend more time in it.
Seems that I have to search for another card.

Nevertheless thank you both for your help.
