here is an example in a xml guide file where the web nextpvr is showing the original air date from the date tag in the xml file rather than the previously-aired line in the xml file.
I wondered if nextpvr could use the previously-air date in future updates as this is more accurate

  <programme start="20221008160000 +0100" stop="20221008170000 +0100" channel="45">
    <title>Say Yes To The Dress: Lancashire</title>
    <sub-title>Once Upon a Time in the North</sub-title>
    <category>Reality</category>
    <episode-num system="xmltv_ns">1 . 6 . 0/1</episode-num>
    <previously-shown start="20191206000000 +0000" />
    <credits>
      <actor>Gok Wan</actor>
      <actor>Jo Haddock</actor>
      <actor>Deidre Dowling</actor>
    </credits>
    <date>2019</date>

Can you post the entire program xml entry? You truncated it.

It is for a different program too.

what I think he is saying is

<date>2019</date>

without mmdd overrides

<previously-shown start="20191206000000 +0000" />

(2022-10-08, 04:39 PM)Hi, that is right, I am referring to the date not having the month and day included so it outputs as 1/1/2019 rather than the previously aired date being more accurate, so I was asking sub if he could change the program in future to prioritise the previous line rather than date.Here is the full xml entry as request from sub:<programme start="20221008160000 +0100" stop="20221008170000 +0100" channel="45 Wrote:     <title>Say Yes To The Dress: Lancashire</title>
