Feature improvements for myPrograms

Hi reven,

i just thought about some improvement in the my programs plugin:

- A free structure instead of the four points would be nice. I'd liked to build my own virtual folder tree and to have in each folder another app/emu running.

- Edit Button to edit the entires you have

- Save icon-pictures to another folder then their corresponing files. Would be very nice for CDs.

- Possibility to have more than one program (emu) to be used in one virtual folder (maybe even from different source folders for the roms). Would be very nice if you liked to categories games from diffent consoles/PC together. Let's say for example FinalFantasy, i have some of them for PC and some other for PSX would be nice to have them in one virtual root

nah, i really like it how it is now.

this would require some complex controls, and far to much work for the little benefit. just think how annoying it would be to edit these entries via remote, it would be annoying. besides ive used this plugin for ages now, and only had to set the emulators etc once.

huh? at the moment if a file with the same filename (just with different extension, ie a picture one) that will be shown.

then you would have to set the emulator for every rom file. that would be extremely annoying, it works much better the way it is now.

Can you get it so you can save the pictures for the mame roms on a different folder? Having them in the same folder is a problem because normally mame holds the roms and the snaps in two different folders.

it would be easier if you just moved the images (or i think you can configure the screenshot directory, so just make it the rom directory).

I think the mentality behind the request to keep the roms and screenshots separate is because that is how mame organizes the data by default. So, for the sake of simplicity (on the end user's part), supporting that file structure is more desirable.

(I realize I bumped an older thread but I too would like to see a fully functional MAME plugin for GBPVR.)
