Recording not opening

I have a episode of blue bloods on 11-4-22  from 9:59 pm to 11:08 pm that does not seem to open.  It just kicks me back out.  I can play it in VLC.  
Any thoughts??

The logs don't show it detecting any video and so it doesn't load the h264 decoder. You would need to use the cutchunk utility from the wiki to capture the first 100MB of the file and provide and external link.

That's great and there definitely something at the beginning of the file that NextPVR.exe doesn't like so sub needs to have a look.

For these problem there is always Kodi or different clients, even nlite works.

Kindly refresh my memory it has been a while since testing nlite. Will nlite now work as a client on a separate machine other then the machine running Nextpvr?

Yes even on the host.  Make sure you get the correct nlite sub made two
