Trouble installing TabloTV Extra

Hello Martin,
I have a TABLO and I just found this NextPVR app.  First of all I am new to this and I am likely missing some basic things

I downloaded the Tablo zip file.  I extracted it into  C:\Program Files\NextPVR

I don't see a runtime.json file in the directory.

I also don't see TabloTV install.

I executed TabloTV.exe and nothing happened.  I suspected I might need Microsoft.NETCore.App so I donwloaded and installed the latest version.

Still nothing.  I would appreciate any help that you may be able to offer.

Hi. This is an addon for NextPVR so NextPVR v6 needs to be installed first. It is MS Netcore not .Net and everything required is installed with NextPVR v6.

You might need to be admin to do the extract though, the files are definitely in the zip file. You don't need to be admin to install. Also when downloading exe files Windows may block the exe from running so you might need to unblock it.

To confirm, the files should be extracted to C:\Program Files\NextPVR correct?

Correct but I noticed that the TabloTV thread was for v5 and obsolete and I couldn't find the where I put v6 so I have updated it with v 2.0.4

Just to confirm, when you say "I tried running as TabloTV.exe", you mean that you opened a command window, changed directory to the "C:\Program Files\NextPVR folder, and then entered "TabloTV.exe Install" correct? There isn't a GUI interface for the TabloTV.exe image.

I needed the new TabloTV-2.0.4.zip from Martin and then I was missing some framework files...

"To install missing framework, download:
https://aka.ms/dotnet-core-applaunch?fra...=win10-x64"

That got me up and running.

I have one more question on this thread.... Where are the files stored by default on a Linux machine. I followed the instructions from the Wiki page for a Linux install. (I am even less literate with Linux.)

I may actually use the Linux machine now that I know the Tablo works.

I have some other questions but I'll do a search for them first.

You shouldnt need to install anything else if you set thing up correctly. File locations are also noted on the wiki so keep this to thread related to the extra issues

For the TabloTV extra files, where do I put them in Linux (Ubuntu) to then run the command...

sudo /opt/dotnet/dotnet TabloTV.dll install

That info can be found on the wiki, it is /opt/nextpvr/system if you use the deb installer.
