Kodi Channel Numbers

I know this has been asked before, but I genuinely can't find relevant threads.
Was a solution ever found to have Kodi clients put the channels on the "correct" channel numbers, as in the LCNs that NextPVR uses from the broadcaster?

Does going to Settings->PVR Settings->General, changing to advanced mode and then enabling "Use channel numbers from backend" do what you want?
There is a dedicated sub-forum for Kodi questions, better to keep questions togeter. Martin

Google brought me here. For future reference, it's possible for this option to be enabled, but still have the ordinal numbers rather than the channel numbers. To fix it, I just had to clear the guide data on that Kodi client.

@mmortal03 I suspect the issue was something else, your database probably had errors for a different reason.

After upgrading to Kodi 20, my channel order is completely out of wack. The channels are starting with number 1 and continue in sequential order even though the following settings are selected under Settings / PVR & Live TV: Synchronise channel groups..., use channel order from backend(s), and use channel numbers from backend. My boxes running 19.4 the channel order is fine. Any idea of what is going on?

Please don't hijack threads orr ignore the Kodi sub-forum as I posted earlier in this thread. Reset the PVR database and if you still have problem post the required logs in a new thread in the Kodi sub forum.
