New install here, on an HP EliteDesk800 (i5-6500T), and nextPVR is functioning, but I'm seeing some strange behavior during playback with the pc-based client.

- Sometimes skipping either by clicking on the progress bar or on the >> key works as expected. Other times, the playback will pause for as long as 30 seconds before resuming.

- While watching in a small window, playback behaves properly. But if I stretch the window to either most of the screen or select full-screen, I see pretty severe pixelation, freezing, and tearing. I updated to the latest Intel video drivers, but no change.

I've attached a log file, though it will show lots of mixed activities as I troubleshot. I can provide a more concise log showing the problem events if needed.

Where should I go from here?

Thanks in advance,

-lr

Ensure that the LAV 32 bit decoders are downloaded and enabled in NextPVR settings for all media types

Martin,

Thanks for the quick reply. I made the recommended changes and video playback/skipping seem much improved, but I'm now noticing that about 10 seconds into playback I start hearing drop-outs/gaps in the audio - tough to describe, but the audio plays at normal speed, going silent for maybe 100 msec every few seconds. If I skip to a new location in the recording I again get about 10 seconds of good audio and then the dropouts.

I tried experimenting with the MPEG1 Audio setting and the "Only used mapped..." checkbox, but saw no improvement. See below for my current client decoder settings.

The problem also appears when watching live video, with the additional issue of audio and video being out of sync.

Interestingly, when playing an MP4 video recorded elsewhere everything works perfectly.
