Upgrade question

I have been running an old version of Nextpvr (4.25) for years without any upgrade because it just worked without any issue.  Excellent software.

Now, the latest Kodi addon for Nextpvr will not work with this old version.  So, I need to upgrade now.

Is there anything that I need to be aware of and any backup/restore needed?

Please advise.

Most of the issues would come from the changes in tuner support. The best bet is to try the steps here https://github.com/sub3/NextPVR/wiki/updates-upgrades to see if it works. I wouldn't bother changing the port, just stop the NextPVR v4 service ("NPVR Recording Service") and see how it goes.

If things fail, upload you zipped logs and we will know more about any tuner changes.
