NextPVR client not compatible with Windows Server 2022?

I've installed NextPVR (v6.1.1.221106) on a Windows Server 2022 machine. The server installed OK, but when I try to run the NextPVR Client I get the error below. Is the NPVR client incompatible with Windows Server 2022?

You need full DirectX and if it is not installed you need the -nogl parameter

Note: For some tuner devices you would need to manually hack in the BDA drivers, they are not included in Windows Server.

dxdiag tells me that I have DirectX 12 installed. I have now tried grabbing BDA drivers from a Windows 7 machine (with limited success - some files copied, some didn't). The NPVR client still gives the same error, but the -nogl option works

It is more than having dx12, something is missing in DirectX, and it is not clear what it is. You aren't the only one posting this.

I don't understand your last sentence. If you are seeing the error in the logs when it works, post the zipped logs.

Sorry I wasn't clear - if I run the NextPVR client from the Start menu it fails with the same error is before. However if I run it from the command line, with the -nogl parameter, it works

Logically you would need to add that parameter to the Start Menu shortcut and any other shortcuts you make.
