NextPVR closes when you click play

Out of curiosity have you tried yauiclient https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?tid=64649 to see if it plays live TV? It doesn't use all the same libraries as NextPVR.

Basically it works just like NextPVR.exe but you don't need to install any decoders.

Well, I have no idea what I did but there is an Icon that says Yet Another UI Client and when I click on it the nextPVR comes up. So I clicked on a few things and the recorded programs that were closing the player did start but were very glitched. I see why the player closed. Thank you very much for your help. I will delete this thread as soon as you say you have read this. Thanks again.

Live TV and Recordings in NextPVR should be the same as via the Silicondust app. Yauiclient doesn't run NextPVR, it just has the same look and feel, that is what the UI clients do.
