BBC One in the UK finally got round to splitting their broadcast to reflect regional news/local programmes.

This means that BBC One HD has (for example) become BBC North West HD or BBC West HD etc.

Since I rebuilt my NVPVR server, I've stopped receiving EPG for BBC One via the Freesat EPG. I've also noticed there are a fair number of less significant channels without EPG data and all the radio channels missing too.

I have been able to fix some of this by switching to terrestrial EPG source but still have a lot of missing EPG data.

Using EPG Collector, I can see the missing Channel EPG information is being broadcast (in the clear) so not sure why NVPVR is missing some channels.
In the case of the BBC One regional channel, I'm seeing a difference between how the channel is named on Terrestrial versus satellite. (e.g. BBC One NWst HD [Terrestrial] & BBC One NW HD [Satellite]). Would this be an issue?

I have tried making a small change to the config file as KingofSat says Freesat EPG is on 11426 H and not 11425 H. That didn't change the missing data.
Some of the channels are only broadcast on satellite so terrestrial EPG isn't an option.

If sub needs a transport stream capture, I can try and get that using EPG Collector.

(And yes Martin I know about Schedules Direct but don't necessarily want to link the server direct to the internet  Big Grin )

Edit

Just seen my post crossed with the previous post on the same subject

I think this might be related to this post https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...#pid581380 where there is a full TS mux.

I offer SD as an option to help users because it is easy to use, trouble free (ipv6 issues aside), provides better guide data, faster more accurate artwork and it is relatively cheap for what it offers. There are use cases for OTA of course.

Yes, I'd probably need a full transport stream of the frequency that carries the EPG data on Freesat. I suspect in this case I'll also need your npvr.db3 file. You can PM me a download link to the files.

Systems recording from Sat at the moment so am under orders not to "fiddle" with it.

I'll capture a stream in the morning and send the database too.

Thanks for the files.

I do notice some most of your channels are set to Freesat EPG (ie data carried on another frequency). A small number of channels, including BBC One, is set to DVB EPG (ie data carried on same frequency). Was this intentional?

Yes it was.
The channels that are broadcast on both Freesat and Freeview (Terrestrial) I normally merge and set the EPG source to Freesat.

For those channels on both where I am getting no EPG from Freesat, I've tried switching to Freeview to see if I pickup EPG from the Freeview terrestrial source. That did work for BBC One and ITV4.
I would prefer to be able to switch all the channels back to Freesat.

Some of the channels are not broadcast on Freeview so it can't be used for their EPG source.

Sub,

Just wondered if you'd got anywhere working out the missing EPG channels?

(Appreciate you may be busy with the Day job/family  Big Grin )

Sorry no, I'd started looking at it but got distracted and forgot to come back to it. I'll try to take another look this afternoon.

In that database you provided 'BBC One NW HD' was set to DVB EPG, and configured to get it's listings from DVB-S, so wasn't got to receive listings on Freesat.

If changing the EPG source to Freesat and updating the EPG isn't working, can you provide an updated database.

After BBC One went Reginal, I'd previously deleted BBC One, scanned and reinstalled both from Terrestrial & Satellite then merged.
All the BBC channels were set to EPG: Freesat.

Updating the EPG left all the other BBC channels showing EPG data except BBC One.
I tried changing to Terrestrial EPG for BBC One and that worked. Changed back to Freesat and got no EPG data for BBC One.

I tried changing BBC One to Freesat then Terrestrial several times with the same result every time before posting here.

Today I've switched BBC One back to Freesat....Emptied the EPG, Updated and lo and behold, it's bloomin working.  Blush

There are however a whole load of channels without EPG listings which EPG Collector implies the stream contains listing data.

That has been consistent throughout
