Low resolution fanart

I wish you had mentioned Kodi when I asked you what client you were using. The web player doesn't care about high quality landscape art and Estuary doesn't show art well either. What skin are you using and could you give a screen shot, I made need to had an option to pvr.nextpvr to prefer fanart.

I mentioned Kodi in my first post but apologies should have explicitly stated it when you asked.

I am using Estuary in the latest Matrix release.

I will get a screen grab when I'm back at PC.

Sorry I don't always read all the thread, especially when this isn't in the Kodi sub-forum. Sub and I looked at Estuary but it is so muted we figured quality wasn't an issue. Can you send an screen images from the browser don't help when you are dealing with Kodi issues

See attached screenshot.

The backdrop used on the recordings page is the landscape image from NPVR, ideally the fanart should be picked (or the landscape resolution is higher by default).

I tend to agree, but as you can see the way it is designed it is do shitty that 8K images wouldn't help, so I opted for the smaller size, they get stored in Kodi too.

It would still look alot better using the fanart instead, with the emby/Kodi integration the fanart is used for backdrops on movie display and that looks good.

Is it possible to modify the NPVR plugin to pull the fanart instead?

Movies and PVR are quite different skins so you can't compare them.

Manually add some high quality landscape art for Graham Norton and send the screen capture again, so that I can see the difference to see if it is worth the trouble of changing the addon. My experience was it didn't help.

Do the size of the landscape artwork files you're getting vary depending on if it's a UK show (BGT / Graham Norton) vs a US show (CSI something)?
