As I posted with the video example above that is really bad for users using landscape EPG art.

How do you want NextPVR to behave for Kodi?

I will make the Kodi change for Nexus and Omega but it won't help Matrix users so as I have said I think the decision on what shows in the manual landscape selection should be at the users' discretion not NextPVR's.

I've been meaning to upgrade to Nexus so would be happy with whatever fixes it. Until then I will use the posted .dll

Ok. This version returns the default back to how it was. You can specify <DefaultToFanartForKodi>true</DefaultToFanartForKodi> in config.xml though, to override it for now.

I fixed also fixed a bug with prefer=landscape for kodi user agent.

Yeah, I can't see why not. It won't change any defaults, and will only do it if explicitly requested.

That setting needs to be in <General> section.

What was the bug?  For the EPG, to have titles it would be important to fallback to poster.

Basically you could specify prefer=poster or prefer=fanart. There wasn't a prefer=landscape. It would always fallback to the default, which was a landscape anyway. This only became a problem with this <DefaultToFanartForKodi>, where you the default was a fanart and since there was no prefer=landscape, you had no way to explicitly request it.

They all have fall backs in case the requested image type wasn't available.

OK thanks that helps explain why &prefer=landscape wasn't being used in the code

What I guess I want Kodi to fallback from landscape to poster for the EPG instead of falling back to fanart, either way does have a use case. I will specify fanart when I want one.

I’ll check that fallback when I’m back home. I think that was what I did.
