I don't like the web based new versions. It is missing a lot of settings.
I can right click on the downloaded program.tvpi and open it with NextTVPI.exe and get the same manifest definition error so the problem isn't my version of NextPVR. It is a compile issue in the the manifest file. Probably stating it is 64bit when it was compiled for 32bit.

You only have to use the web app once for setting up your channels etc. The rest of the time you can totally ignore the web app if you want, and just keep using nextpvr.exe like you would have in v4.

Martin
I'll have to give v6 another try sometime. Thanks.
NextPVR's before/after padding has no effect on recordings scheduled through TitanTV. I don't use NextPVR's EPG at all due to only eight hours of OTA available. Maybe padding works for people who use both.
I'm wondering if there's a way to modify the padding minutes in the NextTVPI.dll file or something. I tried editing it with Notepad, but the file is beyond it and me.
Right now both padding values are hard-coded to one minute, which is pretty reasonable in Canada and the US. You should be able to modify these values in the Scheduler though, they are just manual recordings.
That being said I have updated the wiki with a version that reads the default padding values from the NextPVR web Settings->General page.
Changing the padding manually isn't as involved as having to schedule an entire manual recording without TVPI, but it's certainly nicer when TVPI does it automatically.
It's good to have the extra padding at times like it's always been, though another possible, new reason is using Windows 11 on a mediocre PC. Since changing Windows 10 to 11, my PC can take a full 6-7 minutes to boot out of hibernation and NextPVR to be ready. It has plenty of memory, so it must be due to a slow hard drive (or something else). Without extra padding, the PC may not even boot in time to record a show.
I don't know if something else is going on with my PC doing that, but that's my current idea on it.
Regardless, it's nice to have NextPVR's general padding settings work the same on everything, including now with TVPI. Thanks!
And now here comes the 2026 Olympics which I definitely wouldn't want to have to set recordings manually. TitanTV and TVPI saving the day.
