I use mattHuisman's links in NextPVR to watch TVNZ as I live in a place with no arial support Need a satdish and a fireviewbox for tv.
TVNZ has now changed from ffmpeg to Wildvine DRM im guessing NextPVR does not support it
will it support it? or are the certs to much to buy

Oh, I hadn't noticed this. If that's the case, and they've added widevine encryption to these streeam, then we're out of luck.

They'd never certify anything that can record these, and stream them to clients etc. (even ignoring licensing costs, which we couldn't afford anyway)

thought so from what i read, this sux the big one, now to watch tvnz i'll have to use the kodi addon and then back to nextpvr for the other channels, i understand its outa your hands

Yeah pretty disappointing to lose access to these three channels. I'm guessing it's because of their new push to include sports contents, and the content owners requiring it.

Those with an antenna can still get them in NextPVR pretty easily with a tv tuner.

The stupid thing is moving to widevine really makes no sense when OTA Freeview has no DRM.

Phew, you're right.

I just tried reimporting from https://i.mjh.nz/nz/kodi-tv.m3u8 and it's working. It looks like he probably found another stream which is not yet encrypted. It may not last though.
