A minor bug fix release has been posted.
It can be downloaded from http://mk.kaashoek.com/gbpvr/
The version number and the change note is in the readme.txt file.

The ini settings padding, before_logo and after_logo are now described in the tuning manual.

I am trying this version of comskip with both the default settings and some settings by Reboot. All im getting is one long commercial break with only the padding being shown at the beginning and end of the show?

Is there anyway to tell the program to start the cut 5 seconds or however long before the logo actually disappears from a frame? That is the commercials in some shows have a five second or so lead to so the logo disappears and a little blurb comes on 5 seconds before the commercials. I want a way to remove the blurbs as well

I can imagine we translate this in a general case where the logo extends too long so it runs into the commercials. Best would be if there is a actual black frame (although with logo) during the transition from show to commercial.
The parameter would be called something like logo_reduction.
It will tell comskip to reduce the size of the logo detection with the amount of seconds given as a parameter.
It could also be possible to generate a hard cut before the logo disappears (by using e.g. after_logo=-5 but this may have adverse effects.
Any preference?

Hm, me too has a question. I have the problem, that comskip cut's too much from the beginning of a movie.

Some channels in germany starts a movie and blend in their logo aftor 5-10 seconds.

Btw., the ground-functionality is GREAT! My wife LOVE's this small and mighty Tool ^^

The behaviour you describe is very common so this should work.
Without further information it is very difficult to analyse the problem.
However I can deliver some support but you have to follow this procedure.

Set output_framearray=1 and verbose=10
run comskip
copy the generated .txt to a file with the same name but the extension .ref.
edit the .ref file to have the correct frame numbers of where you would like the commercials cuts to be.
Zip up the ini,.csv, .log, .txt and .ref and mail them to me. i can receive mails up to 10 megabyte and the zip file should be about 2 mbyte for a 1 hour recording
Explain in the mail a littlebit on what is going wrong.
I might also ask you to upload to my ftp server a short mpeg with about 20 seconds of where things are going wrong
This helps me in analyzing the problem you see and to improve comskip.
