404 error when opening IPTV stream

Hi, not sure where to start finding the issue/solution

I have an IPTV provider which I have been able to load into the latest NextPVR server without issue. It imported all the channels successfully.

After this I connected the latest KODI version with the latest NextPVR client on a Nvidea shield and am able to watch the channels.

At the same time I did the same for an android tv box, which successfully shows the channels, but when I try playing one, it gives me a "Failed with code 404" error in the KODI log. Even if I select the same channel running on the Shield without issues.

So I also tried stopping the play on the Shield and try opening the same channel on the Android tv box, but still the same issue.

I also tried running the same channel on both the Shield and in the NextPVR Server web page, and both run without issue at the same time.

NextPVR Server log does not show any errors either.

Not sure how to proceed from here. Any idea what the issue can be and how to resolve this issue?

Logs would be the only way to check, otherwise there are no problems

Send all the zipped logs from the Settings page

I'm actually wondering if the channel names are the problem. It looks like you've ended up with unusual channel names like "|IE| RTE TWO HD". That vertical bar might be a problem.

As a test, maybe try going to the Settings->Channels page, and click the spanner icon, and rename a channel to something more normal, then see if it works.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's the problem. (or at least one of the problems shown in your logs)

So you mean change the channel name from "|IE| RTE TWO HD" to "IE - RTE TWO HD" for example?

Would I have to do this for all 1700 channels manually?

But why is this not a problem for the Shield computer and only for the android tv box? Would this not give the same issue for the shield if all the software apps are the same version?

Just try it with a single channel, to see if that is the problem.

If it is the problem, I could see about making a change to automatically strip those characters out.

I am not convinced it is the pipe characters since we have seen that often enough.

I am wondering how many sessions you have set up per IPTV device?
