Hello there,

I migrated my installation to a docker environment recently. After some tweaks I got it working almost immediately and was able to record and play Live TV, so I scheduled some recordings. After some days I logged in and saw that all recordings failed with note "[Failed: The operation has timed out.]". I switched to Live TV and it did not work, so I restarted the container and after that everything worked again. I have now repeated this process multiple times. I attached the most recent log.

Best,
Philipp

You'd need to post a full set of log files.

We definitely see the service stop receiving requests including the stop leaving the tuner open so yes the full logs are needed. Perhaps the 3300+ lines of EPG data before hand was too much?

What kind of arm32 device are you running docker on and where is /config stored There are so many events being loaded in each scan and you must be getting lots of duplicates

2023-10-31 23:43:53.826 [DEBUG][19] - saving 10496 listings for channel: KiKA HD

Does it work better any better if you lower config.xml <EPGScanSeconds>60</EPGScanSeconds> to 30?

Its running on a Raspberry Pi 4 with Portainer. /config maps to /portainer/nextpvr/config. I reduced the EPGScanSeconds to 30 and will have a look if it has an impact. Might it be a problem to use the old config folder from the previous non-docker installation?

No /config is fine. There is a timeout of some sort happening when the EPG scan finishes, I don't know if it is CPU related or not.

One a machine like the RPi4 why not just run native?

I had that before, but since I want to use it for various purposes, I decided to containerize all applications.

Based on the first post it sounded like the issue might have started with Docker. Let's see if the reduced load helps.

The first day it worked fine, now today I found out that it failed again.
Here are the logs: https://wormhole.app/zmAYn#vpO5P4ZIn6gWoZ8dCeFsAw

Moreover, I am now seeing a lot less entries in the guide, only one day ahead for most channels.
