After cloning my Windows 11 Pro from a HDD to a SSD I noticed that NPVR is not recognizing my Hauppage TV Tuner anymore. I uninstalled and install the Hauppage drivers and downloaded a Windows TV Tuner checker App to see if my TV Tuner was working. It is working correctly.

I deleted NPVR and installed it again with the same results. In the Taskbar the NPVR icon is dark and when I click on it no TV Tuners are showing. Seems like there is some setting that is connecting NPVR to my old HDD drive and not to the new SSD drive.

The NPVR service is up and running. I stopped and restarted with same results as before.

The Web Service gives me the error of unable to connect thus unable to log in. In the NPVR Desktop, at first it mentions unable to connect to the server than it disappears and I am able to go to the TV Guide and even click on programs to record but no live TV with "Unable to connect to Remote Server"

I have uploaded the NPVR Logs.zip to see if you can tell me which setting is preventing NPVR from recognizing my TV Tuner.

Thanks in advance.

You have permission error to start Access to the path 'C:\Users\Public\NPVR-data\config.xml' is denied

You also haven't restarted the server after you stopped it, so when you were using NextPVR it couldn't connect. Perhaps it won't start because of the permission error.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I went to Windows Services and manually stopped and started the NPVR Service to see if that would work. I made sure the Service was up & running before closing the Windows Service window.

How do I get rid of that Permission error on the Config.XML file?  Shouldn't installing the software taken care of that problem?

How do you start the NPVR Server? isn't the Server started as soon as the NPVR service is enabled and running?

Do I right click on the XML file under the Menu Security and try to add permissions?

If I am not allowed to upload images of my NPVR XML File Security settings than delete this post and let me know.

I right clicked on the Config.xml file to show you what permissions are allowed.

Can I delete the Config.xml file and let NPVR recreate it again to see if it is able to get permission again?

You can upload zipped files. Yes deleting it will cause NextPVR to recreate one.

From your zipped logs the server didn't restart after last night at

I uploaded zip images of the NPVR Service running and the Taskbar NPVR Icon showing dark and showing no TV Tuners recognized.

In NPVR Service I tried to change it to "Automatic" but it always reverts back to "Delay Start".

Can you manually start the NPVR Server and if so how?

Just completely uninstall NVPR software including NPVR Data folder.

Ran the NPVR installer and then restored the NPVR Data folder less the Config.xml file.

The NPVR Icon is still showing no TV Tuners recognized before restoring the NPVR Data folder.

After running the NPVR installer I didn't see any NPVR Data folder created and I still couldn't reach the Web Service to log in.

Seems like the server is still not starting so we don't know if there is a tuner problem The icon won't work unless the server works so ignore it, the tuner might be fine.

Seems like the installer is failing now. Do you have a C:\TEMP if so zip the file in it named install.log and upload it.

I have uploaded the NPVR Logs and XML files after doing a clean install and restoring the NPVR Data folder back except with the Config.xml file deleted. So the Config.xml file should be a the newly created file.

I also uploaded the H:\TEMP Install logs as requested. But that log is showing installation from 2022. I changed the TEMP directory about a year or more so from C: to save space on my Windows drive. NPVR was working flawlessly until I cloned Windows to another disk drive.

strangely enough I had a program "Family Guy" actually recorded last night around 1 AM when the NPVR Server was supposed to be offline.

Do you believe when I cloned Windows from the HDD to the SSD it might have corrupted the OS. I ran SFC /scannow and it came out clean afterwards.

I also installed NPVR again right after the installation completed without issue before upload the logs.

NOTE: Looking at the Config.xml log some of the info didn't seem correct especially the Server parts. But then again it might be perfectly correct.
