External recording into NextPVR

Hello,
I tried a do a search to see how to input an external recording (Outside of NextPVR) into NextPVR for viewing but came up empty.  Perhaps I am using the wrong search word.
Does anyone have an answer to direct me in the right direction.

I am not sure how your search of the forum or the wiki avoided finding Nexttool

Simply pointing NPVR "Video Folders (in the NPVR desktop client settings) to a directory where the file is stored would allow you to select it and start playback from the NPVR Video menu.

If you want to import it into the NPVR Recordings database, then Mvallevand's suggested tool will help.
