Is it possible to set up 2 recurring recordings, both for the same show (Jeopardy), on different channels and at different times?
I can set up 1 recurring recording, and a second "record once" for the same show, but not 2 recurring recordings.

I am trying to establish a backup senario in case the first recording gets messed up.
I didn't know if there was some naming convention that might allow this?

You should be fine to do that. Obviously if you've only got a single tuner, they'd have to be on at different times. They can have exactly the same name etc, and they'll show up in the same recording group etc (for playback in web app or nextpvr.exe or uiclient).

If it's not letting you, post the logs, and it'll tell us why it can't.

The 1st recording was channel 4722 at 7:00 PM.
The 2nd one was channel 4671 at 7:30 PM.

They both show up under "recurring recordings", but only 1 shows up under "pending".

If these are literally the same episodes you've already got scheduled, or already have recorded, or deleted recently, then it wont reschedule those items. This is what the 'avoid duplicate recordings' checkbox does.

Yes, they are the same episodes, on different channels, at different times.
It will record both episodes if one is recurring and the other is record once.

Yeah so one-off recordings don't try to do any duplicate avoidance.

Recurring won't bother rerecording shows you either have pending/ready/recently-deleted. If it fails to record for any reason though, it'll look for upcoming episodes for any repeats of the same episode and schedule it.

(or you can turn off 'avoid duplicates' if you don't like that behaviour)
