Hello. New member. I have searched around these forums and the internet to find some answers to my questions. I have docker set up on a windows 11 machine. I have several images, Jellyfin included, on it. I have installed @Ranbato's custom docker image. From my understanding, it has comskip and comcutter built in it. NextPVR is running and configured properly to record shows, and they appear in the folder designated. However, comskip and comcutter do not process the recorded shows. From the logs, it appears that I am missing both pre and post startup.sh files. So my questions are: Where do I find these files? When I locate and place these files in the scripts folder, will comskip and comcutter work? Are there any other issues that need to be resolved to get both comskip and comcutter running properly? Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.

They are not automatic. Your command lines would go in ParallelProcessing.sh or PostProcessing.sh https://github.com/sub3/NextPVR/wiki/Scripts and you are responsible for creating the format and content of scripts. For Docker it would be in /config/scripts I expect you will need to use chmod +x to make it run.

For templates and how to edit comskip.ini you will need guidance from users of the custom Docker. I certainly would hesitate using comcut until you see how accurately comskip works.

Here's my PostProcessing.sh:

Code:
if [ "$2" -gt "4" ]; then
        /usr/bin/nice -n 19 /usr/local/bin/comskip --ini=/config/comskip/comskip.ini "$1" >/dev/null
fi

This file is stored in /config/scripts. (The if logic is to prevent comskip running on certain channels which don't show ads in the UK.)

I found it easier to tune comskip on my windows machine using the gui tools and then I copied the ini file into the config folder within the docker container.

I haven't used comcut yet, I watch my videos through Kodi which reads the edl files that Comskip outputs so for me it isn't really necessary.

Thank you @mvallevand and @LL88. It seems my question has been answered. Unfortunately, I do not know how to compile a script. So, I guess I will leave the image and container as is without the use of comskip and comcutter. Thanks again for your time in replying.

The PostProcessing.sh script and is just a text file no compiling necessary but you need to be able to create it with a non-Windows editor in /config/scripts

Updated the NextPVR builds to the new v7.0.1.241229 release.
I also stripped out much of the custom built libraries as the gains are becoming irrelevant.
All of the added utilities are still available.

Hello, with the latest update, the DVB/ATSC EPG does not appear for all channels in Portugal.

Is it the same channels each with EPG each time?
