Recording wont resume, just playback from beginning

Hi, Im not super technical so im learning as i go

So Recording TV is working fine and watching all the way through is fine but if i stop and try to resume it just plays from the beginning.

Also, if i copy the TV recording into one of my other folders with other video files it will play and resume just fine, does the recorded TV use a different player in Kodi?
Im not sure if this started when i upgraded to Omega Kodi but its a very recent thing (the last week i think)

I have tried to update NextPVR with the latest release (21.1) i think it is, from git hub,  but kodi wont install it, comes up with a error.
what steps should i be taking next to see if i can fix this?

Thanks. I would need the zipped NextPVR logs too, as shown on the wiki link I gave you.

You are already running current version of pvr.nextpvr, Kodi and NextPVR so there is nothing to upgrade.

Thanks for getting back to me. I have a brain injury and I get pain when reading lots. I skimmed over the wiki Link and couldn't see where the nextpvr zip log files are. I find the PVR log file folder in windows but they didn't look like zipped files. 

I'll try look again tomorrow once my brain has had a break.

Go to the main NextPVR web server and on the first Setting page there is a button that zips the logs for you.

ok i got it to do the same issue then got the zip log...fingers crossed ive done it right

Thanks normally I would need to the logs from both Kodi and NextPVR together but that set did got back far enough. I do see what is causing this, Kodi is opening closing the file without playing anything and reseting it back to zero. If you only use Kodi I would disable thumbnails and timing files that might help not sure.

Ok so I was able to disable the thumbnails but I am not sure how to disable the timing files. I Googled and looked at a couple of other threads and I don't understand how to get to that point or disable them. 

Is it through the nextpvr settings? Kodi settings? 
Or is it in the windows files?

No I don't have that one anymore. I do have other ones that are doing the same thing but they're probably not in the log file. 

How do I get a sample of them? Do you mean like a screen recording of it happening?

Yes sub made it a bit difficult for Kodi users so I posted this on the Kodi forum https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=376477

I am not sure if you saw the request for the file though it might help if I can duplicated the issue.
