Add Intel iHD Driver to Docker Image for NextPVR

Right now the docker image only supports the Intel i195 driver.
I would like the Intel iHD to be added to the docker image for Transcoding purposes via VAAPI.
My CPU is a Comet Lake (i5-10500) which doesn't support the i915 driver and only the iHD Driver is Supported.
Please can this be looked into.

Did you try the steps here https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...#pid575579 and continue reading. I suspect sub will be updating Docker for the next release so maybe something there is missing.

I have just had a read through the guide. I attempted to install it via the command: option via docker compose but it hasn't worked.
I think the upcoming docker image may have to built with the non-free driver for it work.

Isn't the non-free driver one of the things mentioned in the other post that you need to install? Sub will likely need to know everything required.

Yeah it is .When you mean "Sub". I am not quite sure what you mean?

You mean the instructions of how to get the non-free driver into the container?

Sub is the author of all the NextPVR code, so builds and distributes the official Docker image. He also maintains the web site. He would need to know exactly what packages need to be installed to get this working to determine if it is worth adding, some things can't be guessed at.

I have managed to create a working dockerfile with the non free driver required for encoding.

Is installing intel-media-va-driver-non-free all you had to do to get it working?

Yes and I had to add the non-free firmware repo into the dockerfile.

The dockerfile created is here Dockerfile Contents.

The docker container I created is at blackerthanmoonlight\nextpvr and only runs on amd64.
