.I’m really finding nextpvr very easy to use. One minor issue, I’ve logged into the web interface through an LG smart tv and it’s a pain to navigate as the text is so small. Is there any chance of looking into a tv interface or apps for android, webos for lg tv and others?

There are already apps for Android, LG, Roku, Samsung Tizen and others. The problems are the nextpvr.com web site is pretty much an afterthought and not kept current, the wiki doesn't get any user updates since Graham did such a good job of creating it and nobody searches the forum.

Is there a link to download version 6.1.5 directly in case a new version is released and I want to test the changes before migrating?  From looking at the site I'm only seeing a download URL that is for the latest stable version (nothing version-specific in the URL).

I did find the github repo "sub3/releases" - which is in the same github organization/user who owns the wiki.  In the releases it has a 6.1.5-specific build.  I am wondering if I can consider this an official build or not, though.

Thanks!

I only keep the current releases. I don't have an archive of previous releases.

For Windows, you can download the current version from https://nextpvr.com/stable/win64/NPVR.zip. If this zip file is in the same directly as NextPVRSetup.exe then it'll install that version instead of the version from nextpvr.com

The "sub3/releases" folder is the static Linux version that is stored for LibreELEC and CoreELEC users since they require this. Sub doesn't update it, but I have access to this folder on his GitHub account and so I package it and upload it. It depends on what you mean by "official" I guess

Better to backup your system before upgrading if you want to revert but you can always get the current NPVR.zip and back it up.

Thanks! I was trying to install on Arch/Manjaro and it didn't seem like there was a really easy way apart from the instructions (which were pretty good), so I made a repository on the Arch User Repository (AUR) for it called nextpvr-bin. The way it seems like AUR is meant to work, is for the package installation to download the software from git/http/hg/etc. during installation. Speaking of that, if anyone has an interest in being a co-contributor to it, I'll gladly add you to that package/repository.

So now Arch/Manjaro users can run "pamac install nextpvr-bin" or "yay nextpvr-bin" to get it installed really easily. I could just grab the latest one during install, but I have a feeling that in some cases this could introduce changes that the end users (or dependent packages) aren't prepared for - or could require new dependencies that the package doesn't yet know to install. Besides this, from reading AUR documentation it seems like they prefer that packages install a specific version vs. latest.

I think that's official enough - especially if LibreELEC and CoreELEC are using it.

Thanks!
