There has been some substantial changes for the DVB EPG support in the next release, which I'm running here. I loaded the guide from your capture file. I've had a quick browse around, and it looks alright from what I can tell, but it's hard to know because I can't read Portuguese(?). I can't see any of these Æ characters etc.
Can you please post a screenshot of the tv guide, showing one of the problem listings on the RTP1/RTP2/SIC/TVI/SIC Notícias channels? Ideally make it a day ahead in the guide. I'll check the same show here.

The channels come from coaxial cable.
Fiber cable -> fibergateway -> coaxial -> TVs (DVB-T TVs, digital tv usb tuners, DVB-T boxes for tube tvs,...) The generated xml file came from dvbguide.exe. It reads all the streams and generates a xml file. In Portugal, we do not use greek or the crossed O or the fused AE/OE. Strangely, À and Á appear to be correct with NextPVR but not in xml file. In the xml fie, the Á shows nothing, while Á shows some other character. No idea, if you wanted this way. Sorry respoding few hours later, I wasn't paying attention, I was busy sorting a problem.

That's why I asked, his XMLTV file is bad and will never work with NextPVR.

Yeah agree - bad xmltv file.

Bad "source", you mean.
That screenshot appears to be ok. NextPVR: When I delete all channels, scan for channels, the encoding appears wrong, then scan for EPG, which again appears to be wrong.

The XMLTV file you uploaded (meo.xml) is not encoded properly, so it can never is going to be readable by NextPVR. There is 8859-1 and UTF-8 mixed and the bad characters like the AE ae are in there as UTF-8.
Change your source in the Settings->Channels->Tools->Auto Map to use DVB/ATSC and rescan. It will take a bit of time, but it should give you the same thing sub is showing. if not it might it is likely fixed by sub for the next version since as he noted there are notable changes in the OTA EPG processing.
