IPTV Radio Type

I am trying to create my own IPTV feed config which will take URL from multiple internet sources.

They are generally just radio stations

One issue is they are being saved as TV channels to turning up in the wrong lists.

I am also having an issue where it is not being able to play a source with a querystring at the end.

The M3U file works fine in VLC

Any ideas?

NextPVR accepts IPTV radio but the m3u spec is to include radio="true" as a parameter

Any valid URL with some Kodi and VLC extensions should work but it would need to return an valid media (radio or TV) Do you have a sample? The logs would show why it fails but they are encrypted so I would be able to read the source.

So i have been playing a little, and have it 'working' ish.

it is not detecting radio still, but i have merged with another channel that is also radio so is working.

Neither follow any m3u spec I know using type=radio. Why didn't you try radio="true" that I suggested? In Kodi you would need to reset the PVR database.

Doh yes my mistake, but i have changed this so is now 'detected' as a radio.

However the second link does not work at all

It is working here, except for a noted issue I have that NextPVR trancodes mp3.

are you saying NextPvr can't handle mp3?

The streams will be transcoded to aac, at whatever bitrate is setup rather the the raw mp3 stream.

okay so i have recently updated the feed urls

now in kodi, even after a full reset of the DB, the 'radio' channels are showing as tv channels

I think tvg-id is a required field for NextPVR's IPTV so add tvg-id=""
