lol

I once had someone ask me what types of houses we live in there in New Zealand. I'm sure he was picturing mud huts or something Big Grin

We're pretty much all on gigabit fibre here. Plenty of streaming services. The situation is different from North America though.

I didn't mean it in a bad way. I mean I know new zealand does fine for itself economically, but they are out there as far as away from europe / americas.  With Australia nearby and greater Oceania. I just mean its not high priority to have a lot of streaming services be competitive there.

Eplustv works no problem, my only issue is chrome capture, and mainly due to being on another pc. The chrome capture fails on vlc/mediaplayers too so it really isnt the fault of nextpvr.  I need to figure out why I cant talk to another port on another pc, I tried port forwarding. I feel we wont really resolve that one even with the log files.  The main concern is getting chrome capture working across all the nextpvr apps.  It works only on yauiclient on pc, but not android sadly.  If we can resolve that I think nextpvr is looking pretty solid tbh. I can record a video if need be.

I told you already what I need, but if you don't think logs and curl output will help we might as well close the support part of this discussion.

I'll do it but if it does it in wmp and vlc I assume its not something nextpvr can fix, the bug where the http://localhost etc code cant parse or whatever should be fixable as it works in yauiclient. I can record a video of it doing so.

I am not sure why the pc version works but android won't. It would also be nice to have it play nice with the web player as well, it does another problem, it starts loading and fails, but for whatever reason yauiclient exe handles it fine

Also, how can I turn the volume down in the webplayer? I only see mute and unmute.

The mpv player library embedded in yauiclient is pretty much the best there is, better than vlc and far better then wmp. Uidroid will be better the sub's app. The web player being a transcoding player has many limitations on source input and output But one step at a time please.

Windows volume is what you are looking for in sub's Windows apps.

Well I was using another window and didnt want to change its volume by lowering windows volume. EPlustv does seem to crash (maybe getting tokens?) not sure but it crashes in the windows version as well. UIDroid is great, but the android app stiill bugs out unlike the pc app. So I basically can only use kodi is what you are saying? No ability to fix?

Update

It seems it works fine in yauiclient pc.  I may be able to use xteve to passoff the other m3us to a usable m3u in xteve.

In Windows you can control individual application volume, but I am not going to support Windows features in this thread.

There are so many configuration errors in the logs it is hard to tell where to start so I picked the last hour, you need to clean things up and make your server more resilient

Certainly this URL in you configuration is bad which is one failed uidrdoid attempt

2024-09-13 12:55:10.441 [DEBUG][189] ConnectToURL: http://http:/.../livetv?.... [uVZ6b+o/0eSRPZOzzl+fYkDwgA5t2zHsubPSstTDnnKbOK6p5xDQHO5QIElDLhzEsIMn+4aXbJ3Rqsp6OnOw+

Then on another your server didn't respond

2024-09-13 12:58:54.763 [DEBUG][271] WebException: System.Net.WebException: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond. [::ffff:192.168.58.56]:5589 (192.168.58.56:5589)

Then you tried https and that failed

2024-09-13 12:59:21.678 [DEBUG][142] WebException: System.Net.WebException: The SSL connection could not be established, see inner exception.

Then you tried to play a file with no audio that the web player logic doesn't support (why are you testing that, I said focus on yauiclient until it was near 100%) so your server is failing

2024-09-13 13:01:24.168 [DEBUG][62] [FFMPEG]: Stream map '0:a:0' matches no streams.

Then your m3u pointed to a local server

2024-09-13 13:09:44.277 [DEBUG][142] WebException: System.Net.WebException: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it. [::ffff:127.0.0.1]:5589 (localhost:5589)

This indicates ffmpeg is responsible for creating the file but you still haven't given any curl output yet. It might need to be done station by station.

2024-09-13 13:11:25.639 [DEBUG][162] m3u8 has separate audio / video streams streams...forcing transcode...

It is actually not transcoded though but you are now testing on the browser which I asked you not to do, I don't see much form yauiclient or uidroid to indicate they are good or bad.

In this attempt ffmpeg couldn't open the stream from EPlus.

2024-09-13 13:28:26.755 [DEBUG][58] [FFMPEG]: [http @ 01b8b1c0] HTTP error 404 Not Found

In this see this which means your server stopped streaming data

2024-09-13 13:29:13.141 [ERROR][56] Unexpected error processing m3u8 url (http://192.168.68.56:8000/.../36.m3u8?.... This one might be fixable, assuming it just your server is slow to deliver data. You can increates this from 8 seconds to me with live TV that could end up being a problem if it a server issue.

<M3U8DownloadTimeout>8000</M3U8DownloadTimeout>

Nice This is what I was inquiring about. Is there a way to increase the buffer too? Sorry its been a while since I messed with NextPVR.

Hopefully xteve will convert my strange chromecapture m3u to a usable one.

No need to increase any buffer it is already defaults to 20 minutes.

Using xteve (now threadfin) could make things more of a mess and harder to debug. It is only a proxy so if you feed it the same crap that you feed NextPVR it won't be any better.
