NextPVR doesn't record

Hi,

I installed NextPVR using this method:

curl https://nextpvr.com/nextpvr-helper.deb -O
sudo apt install ./nextpvr-helper.deb --install-recommends

However, when installing the NextPVR client for Kodi as well, I'm not able to record anything. The red dot isn't displayed as well.
What's wrong?
Attached are the logs.

Setup: RPI5 with RPI OS 64-bit and Kodi.
I used the db3 file of my previous installation of LibreElec as I want to try RPI OS.

Is this a completely fresh install? To me this since you copied an old setup

and you probably did that as root. If you are lucky and that is the only file you copied then

sudo chown nextpvr /var/opt/nextpvr/npvr.db3

might get it back.

BTW: when will the next version of NextPVR be released?

It will be released when it is ready, there are so many internal changes in all areas that the final testing it taking much longer than normal. It should worth the wait though.

Nice to know!

And about recordings: is there a way I can check if it contains data errors? Maybe it's logged somewhere?
And if it's not logged, maybe it's an idea to add a text file with the recording so people can check? (besides the others: thumbnails, timing and map).

If you are creating the timing file (not needed for Kodi) you can browse it for gaps but that is painful. If the last time minus the first time is the duration of the recording it probably will be pretty good. Otherwise there is no way to know if a recording is bad, meaning unplayable. Rarely will recordings be perfect and even then there is no guarantee the source provides a seekable file. Fortunately most times the client smooths out minor issues, however you will have more issues playing recording on Kodi RPi OS then with LE.
