Kodi playback issues - Stupid Android TV?

Hi

I've recently I had to get a new tv

I have installed NextPVR via Dockerhub, I do however have some issues when playing back recordings

I have a recording - Great British BakeOff HD - And every time the video changes to a picture of their bake - The stream stalls and the audio continues for a little, or sometimes when moving to a commerical (Something changes in the video ?)  it can however have long stretches of no problem playback.

It's worth noting that Jellyfin seems to stall at the same bits

Does anyone have any ideas I could try?

My suggestion is to try uidroid to see if it is an ATV problem or not. If uidroid has problems you'd probably need to send a sample. There are definitely UK recordings that mix 1080i and 1080p which are a real pain to demux.

I did try adb install uidroid a few minutes ago, but I just get a black screen saying 'Unable to connect to server'

Any ideas ? I gave up as my partner was getting annoyed

Right Docker makes everything complicated. You probably need to set the real IP of your server.

-env HOST_IP=

and this if you don't have it.

--publish 16891:16891/udp

That did it

I was missing the /udp

I also set the host IP

I'll have a play and see. Do you think it might sort the de-interlace issue? Weirdly it isn't an issue on my raspberry pi Kodi

It still freezes.

Any other suggestions ? Auto transcode next time?

I wouldn't auto transcode unless you want to Play it in the web server. I would remux it in PostProcessing.sh and with Docker you are limited to ffmpeg (I find mkvmerge is better)

As I said an externally linke sample would help I can see if it is video source or just a bad ts file.

I don't suppose you have an example of how I would go about that?

I don't think it's the ts file . I can play the file without issue on raspberry pi - Libreelec - Kodi

One Drive, Google Drive, filetransfer.io, meganz all allow you to transfer a file. If you know where in the file it is bad you can cut out 100MB around the point.

Android != Windows != RPi so irrelevant the newer RPi models play using software. Honestly the UK files have caused me the most trouble.

What software on linux? All the ones I use transcode on export
