Hi, as i wrote, i did not put the batch there already. I wanted one more night "normal" EPG update.

Tonight i will put the batch in place, and we will see what happens then. :-)

OK, didn't notice that.

As a quick test if the scripts helps if you have time and when you don't need NextPVR for Live TV or recordings

- stop the recording service
- backup npvr.db3 good idea daily anyway
- edit config.xml and change to a 1 second scan <EPGScanSeconds>1</EPGScanSeconds>
- restart the recording service and manually update the EPG just take one minute or so not an hour.
- after the update and your wait time see if it sleeps

After the test stop the service change back to 60 and copy your backup npvr.db3 (so you don't need to rescan) and restart.

So i only placed the batch in place for tonight. And now it worked like it should.

EPG took an hour (normal) and after that PC went to sleep, until i woke it up to check the log files.

These are attached. Of course it would be nice, if with a coming update this trick would no longer be necessary. But for now i can live with it.

Only one question: If live tv or a recording would be running after EPG update, and the batch executes -> it would stop the recording or live tv -> correct?

Unless a recording is in-progress at the time of the EPG or in the seconds afterwards when OnSleep is called NextPVR stops the device anyway.

Agreed sub will need to look at it, I am pretty sure previously the tuner was stopped by NextPVR after a scan.

Folks - long time user of NextPVR but first time ive had a problem....and it took  a few days to register so this might be a little late.

after the update to Version: 7.0.0.241105  my pc would not go to sleep after an EPG update either via the schedule, or manually...

it was fixed by the PostLoadEPG.bat solution mentioned earlier, but here are my logs in case they help find a longer term solution, since this was not required for the previous version

So i will wait for a fixed version, and till then, i will use the batch "fix".

Because sometimes there are recordings or live TV even running at the EPG update time, i am looking forward to get an updated version, but it is no drama till then.

Thanks to "mvallevand" for the great support and help! This is so great. An of course we mostly complain about things, that are not perfekt, but we forget how great the software is! So big thanks to "sub" and "mvallevand" to making this possible!

I don't expect this to fix it, but can you please reproduce the error with this build, then post the logs again? I've added some more logging to help me understand what is happening.

Hello, i missed your last post. Sorry.

The problem is a little bit bigger, then i thought. Ending the device host with the batch leads to bluescreens and a corrupted EPG Data.

Not always crashing the PC, but for sure if NPVR is recording, and the device host gets stopped with the batch -> Bluescreen. Every second day i think, it happens. I tested running the update with the batch active, an a recording running in the background -> End of EPG update -> BSOD

Just removed the batch, cleared EPG Data and doing a new scan. Because of defective EPG data, some recording are missing, or the PC crashed at night.

Will try the file you attached tomorrow, need to get is running again right now.

Absolutely killing DeviceHostWindows while recording will be a problem, but I don't think the corrupt EPG is because of this.

If the EPG is getting corrupt I suggest that issue is recording during the EPG update logs would tell.
