I've been using gbpvr and an MVP for a while now and it has been great. Now the MVP keeps disconnecting after about 20 minutes into watching a recorded show.
It started after upgrat\ding to 9413 but I don't think that is the problem. I hav since done a re-install from scratch of 9413 and still has this problem. I'm thinking it might be heat related OR something to do with the Screensaver or something to do with netradio checking the buffer size, - per the last few lines of the gbpvr.exe log below: This is what keeps happening

Have you unplugged the MVP and Plugged it back in to pull the dongle.bin file from the 94.13 release? There were a lot of complaints with MVP disconnects with 94.12...which moved to a newer dongle.bin file....sub went back to an older version with the 94.13 release. This fixed my problems.

Yes, I've uplugged and plugged with both the older and newer dongle.bin. Its something else. I think I'll just downgrade gbpvr to the 94.12 release which was more stable on my PC for some reason.

Overheating is a known issue with the D3 version of the MVP, all other versions (including D3A) are fine.

I have the D3A, I also ran the MVP using the newest HP software without gbpvr, I disabled the screen saver and watched a video - and it rebooted - so its not a gbpvr issue.
Time to take aprt the mvp and see whats inside Cool

How is your MVP connected (hub, switch, 10/100/1000, wireless a/b/g, etc.)? Any chance you're just bogging down your network connection? I once had an old OfficeConnect 10 mbit hub hooked up temporarily and it just couldn't hack it. Loads of collisions.

Its on a 10mb hub with cat5 cable. It could be a bogged down network connection I suppose but it has been working ok on the same connection for about 9 weeks. I've switched out cables and used differnet ports on the hub and got the same results.

I'll see if a direct connect to the PC works - thanks for the suggestion.

Good to hear... by the way, are you aware that a high bitrate MPG will overwhelm a 10Mb connection? At highest DVD-quality settings an MPG will consume about 12 Mbit a second.
