That sounds promising!
Hi Martin and sub,
for now i can report, that everything is working fine. Last night an EPG update run. The PC was in standby this morning. In the webinterface there is the message: "59699 inserted, 0 updated, 106 skipped" so it seems it worked normal. I had another issue last night, but i cant reproduce it, so i think this was an one time error -> i wanted to watch a show, that was still recording, that did not work (KODI hangs, and also not possible in the webinterface). After the recording was stopped, i also could not play it. I tried to reproduce -> no error with shows being recorded and played at the same time. I think this was a one time error or had to do with defender still blocking on the mediacenter. I again released the devicehostwindows.exe -> now everything works. I will check if the detail EPG update is working correct (i explained the earlier, the on ZDF details data is only for 7 days, and basic info for 14 days). The details should get updates if they become available -> was a problem with V6. I will report, but the right now i think the "normal" function is working perfekt. Peter

Your problem was not related to Kodi or in-progress recordings. After tuning a recording, NextPVR is not able to stop the tuner and that blocks that tuner for future recordings. It has a cascading effect since it will fail over to a new tuner and block it. Eventually you will have all your tuners blocked.
I suggest reverting to an older DeviceHostWindows to see if recordings stop correctly. You have another configuration issue that you have timing file creation enabled which has no value with Kodi. That is discussed on this forum and the Kodi forum https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=376477 Martin

I see that "[DEBUG][65] Doesn't look right" warning flooding Escape7's nrecord logs too. So that indicates it's not restricted to the OpenTV EPG scan on my system.

Sub has notated that message should not be a concern.

I haven't been able to reproduce it either.
This latest build fixes a removes a change I made a couple of days ago related to how it was attempting to clean up after using device. Ultimately that change didn't help at the time, but I think it might have be detrimental to stopping the device cleanly (after recording), so I wanted to remove that change. |
