OK, so i take the original exe for now?

That only has the issue with standby. (Restarting the service in the morning does the trick for the day).

Would you suggest that?

Yes I would do that, and then just manually update the EPG when you need it so you can control sleep and notice gaps so you don't miss recordings. You might even temporary switch in the new DeviceHostWindows if you get EPG gaps.

I expect sub will have other solutions but missing recordings will be frustrating I think.

I see you are using Kodi Piers on Windows, do you also want to test pvr.nextpvr that should show properly translated OTA sub genres? Right now they probably show English.

Much appreciated Peter.  First I would like to to navigate the guide and get a feel for how often the English text sent from NextPVR shows up in the genre.  In Estuary that would be bottom right of the grid.  Typically you should see English if there are sub genres.

Then go to you Kodi data folder and a default install that might be   C:\Users\Peter\AppData\Roaming\kodi\addons\pvr.nextpvr.  If you can't find it the Kodi log will tell you.

In that folder you will find the default pvr.nextpvr.dll  so after stopping Kodi back it up and use the dll in the attached zip.  Also in that folder is another folder named "resource" and from the zip  copy the genre-mapping.xml int it. After that repeat the EPG test to see if any English is showing.

I am still working on a second phase of the change to allow Kodi to show the translated genre for recordings.

Sub and I have also been experimenting with the very long descriptions that you get from ZDF channels (maybe others).  In the zip is another dll pvr.nextpvr.cr.dll  that should keep the carriage returns with the newer NShared.dll.  I am curious if you like the look better with or without the extra lines.    I actually wanted to separate the Darsteller info into the Kodi cast from the description but ksooo the PVR lead on Team Kodi said it wasn't worth it.    For me they are hard to read without the carriage returns, but my data set is limited to your 2 ZDF channels in a full mux so I have a limited view into the German data.   Sub may decide to keep the carriage returns so the addon doesn't have to deal with it so as I said this is an experiment. Kodi might not even separate words depending on which version on NShared you have.
